This is a seasonal, temporary position. Great for high school or college students looking for summer work. Can be full time or part time. No weekend work.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in the routine maintenance of KICA common areas i.e. mowing, maintenance, installation, and growing of all plant material. Typical tasks include, but are not limited to: large and small tree pruning; watering plant material; invasive species removal, plant installation, pine straw application, and or mulching. This listing of duties and qualifications are representative and not exhaustive. Requirements:
Ability to use hand and power tools and equipment, and the ability to operate trucks and light motorized equipment. Ability to follow oral and written directions. Ability to work under supervision and solitary. A pleasant attitude and customer service skills. Requires a valid driver’s license. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening. Lifting object weighing up to 50 lbs and walking over extended distances carrying equipment that weighs in excess of 20 lbs. Exposure to high heat, humidity, cold as well as dusty and rainy conditions, with possible exposure to various insect bites (mosquitoes, flies, etc.) as well as caustic plants such as poison ivy and oak.
