Job Description
Lawn Care Crew Leader Sparta Lawn Care Rock Hill, SC 29730 Crew leader will directly oversee crews of 2 to 5 employees. Responsible for overseeing projects from beginning to end. Crew lead will ensure the quality of work, safety and job accuracy. Crew lead is responsible for their crew and equipment each morning through the end of their shift. Lead must be able to communicate with clients professionally.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day work operations. Delegate work accordingly.
- Ensure landscape expectations are up to our company’s standard of quality and professionalism.
- Identify more efficient ways to perform work.
- Be able to train new crew members.
- Submit and maintain work logs of each job completed.
- Ensure crew members perform their work safely and in accordance with company policy.
- Install a variety of plant material.
- Dig/Excavate holes and trenches using picks and shovels or related equipment.
- Haul/spread topsoil, gravel, sand, mulch, or related materials using wheelbarrows and rakes. Sometimes this is required to do by hand.
- Maintain assigned equipment and notify supervisor if needed repairs.
- Report to work at the required time and perform duties assigned by their supervisor.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of confirmed commercial lawncare experience.
- 1 year of leadership experience, preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Clean driving record.
- Driver’s license.
