POSITION SUMMARY

The Grounds Worker II position assists the College in maintaining the grounds. These duties include, but are not limited to: mowing, weed eating, blowing, hedging, trimming, pulling weeds, spraying, watering, emptying trash and servicing/maintaining equipment relevant to the department. The work is performed year round and in all types of weather conditions. Uniforms and personal protective equipment will be provided, and must be worn at all times. This position reports to a Grounds Foreman, a Grounds Supervisor and ultimately the Executive Director of Plant Operations.

ESSENCTIAL FUNCTIONS

Holistic Student Support Maintains a welcome and aesthetically pleasing landscape to welcome students and community members to our campus.
Promotes, supports and participates in student recruitment and retention efforts Organizational Culture Maintains a culture of consistency and belongingness when dealing with all members of the campus community independent of race, gender, or sexuality.
Supports and promotes a culture of safety within the department.
Maintains the grounds year round under the direction of a Grounds Foreman, the Grounds Supervisor and the Executive Director of Plant Operations. Fiscal Stewardship Is able to work efficiently by themselves performing all duties relevant to the position such as mowing, blowing, pulling weeds, weed eating, etc.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess a minimum of a high school degree and have no less than 2 years of experience working in a grounds maintenance capacity

Salary Range:

$31,843 – $37,415
