Direct crew members and manage equipment each day. Plans, assigns, and executes specific tasks in a safe a professional manner to crew and supervise performance. Performs daily reporting using AMS system to submit timesheets and billing information. Notify private property owners of presence on property; obtain permission from property owners to trim or remove trees and/or apply herbicides; discuss issues such as obtaining access, power interruption, work to be done, etc. with customer and/or property owner. Oversee equipment and material usage, and cleanup. Make sure all equipment and supplies are secure on the truck. Assist in personnel management. Keep accurate records of time, equipment, and material used. Maintain above standard customer relations. Accident Reporting Education and Experience Two years’ experience in Vegetation Management. High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred. Meets and demonstrates qualifications of all positions on a crew. Delegates work and take accountability for the performance of a crew. Ability to read and understand contract requirements. Knowledge of botanical and common names of trees and plants. Experience in safe operations and maintenance of vehicles and equipment. Able to adjust to field requirements and take independent action without close supervision. Possess a valid driver’s license and clean MVR. Position requires employee to be able to pass a background check and drug screen as required for this job.
