Ideal candidate has Lawn and Ornamental Pesticide experience with South Florida horticulture. Responsibilities Work includes the safe and proper application of fertilizers, insecticides, herbicides and fungicides. Inspects and treats as required all landscaped areas on Association and Council properties for the purpose of controlling nutritional requirements, insects, disease and weeds of landscape material and lawns. Coordinates with Landscape Supervisor or Foreman to ensure the applications of fertilizers and pesticides do not interfere with regular landscape maintenance services. Assists the Spray Technician Supervisor in managing pesticide and fertilizer inventories. Ensures that storage facilities are kept clean and free of spills or container leaks. Maintains accurate daily records of work performed as required by law. Executes all written and verbal work orders. Responsible for ensuring the Fertilization and Pest Control provisions of the Landscape Maintenance Contract are fulfilled in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
High school graduate Minimum of 3 years of spray tech experience in South Florida Lawn and ornamental pesticide license a plus Valid Florida Driver’s License Must possess restricted pesticide license as required by Florida State Law. Acquires continuing education units (C.E.U.’s) as needed to maintain license. Must have extensive knowledge of modern principles and practices of pesticide management. General knowledge of application equipment and maintenance procedures. Required to perform duties in a safe and proper manner. Complete familiarity with all E.P.A. standards and other requirements mandated by regulatory authorities. Verbal & written communications skills. Schedule is 40 hours, Mon-Fri, 7:00am-3:30pm Wynmoor offers competitive compensation and benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, vacation and sick time and a safe harbor 401(k) plan.
