Lawn and Ornamental Spray Technician Bold City Greenworks Jacksonville, FL 32210 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Spray Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape maintenance and a passion for enhancing outdoor spaces. As a Spray Technician, you will be responsible for applying fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides to ensure the health and beauty of lawns, trees, and other landscaped areas. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate various power tools effectively. Responsibilities Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides according to established safety guidelines and regulations. Conduct regular inspections of landscapes to assess plant health and identify pest issues. Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and tree care. Utilize power tools safely and effectively for various landscaping tasks. Build and maintain relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and expertise in lawn care. Keep accurate records of treatments applied and monitor the effectiveness of applications.

Fertilizer Application:

Commercial fertilizer applicators in Florida must be certified by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) to apply fertilizers to commercial turf, ornamental areas, parks, fields, and residential properties. This certification requires proof of training in Green Industry Best Management Practices.

Pesticide Application:

The Ornamental and Turfgrass Pesticide license , is required to use restricted-use pesticides in the production of ornamental trees, shrubs, flowers, or sod, or the maintenance of ornamental plants and turfgrass in cemeteries, golf courses, parks, or athletic fields.

Landscape and Turf Management:

The F lorida Department of Education (FDOE) lists several skills and knowledge required for Landscape and Turf Management, including safety procedures, plant classification, pest management, landscape design principles, and equipment maintenance.
