In this key position within our Horticulture Division, Spray Technicians are responsible for identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving fertilization and pest issues while conducting preventive maintenance for our properties.
Responsibilities include:
Troubleshoot and resolve fertilization or pest issues in a timely manner Accurately report findings Complete scheduled work Communicate escalations to your direct report Perform the chemical and fertilizer applications on assigned high profile properties Monitor landscape health and care needs by diagnoses of primary turf problems and basic pest identification Maintain proper documentation as required by The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Take a proactive approach to safety by attending all required field safety training and utilizing proper safety equipment Requirements include: Requires High School Degree or GED. 2+ years of experience in Fertilization and Chemicals application preferred. Experience in commercial Lawn and Ornamental. Experience in identification of pest issues. Self-starter with ability to operate under strict deadlines Excellent multi-tasking skills with an ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects switching from one to the other without the need for reorientation Ability to diagnose insect and disease issues Knowledge of plant material and an understanding of the seasonality of the landscaping industry Valid FL driver’s license (must have a clean record for the past 5 years to be insurable) Must obtain the GI-BMP certification within 30 days of employment Excellent communication skills•must be able to read and write English•Bi-lingual a plus Ability to perform the physical demands of the position including regularly lifting up to 80 pounds, standing, walking, crouching, stoop/kneeling, and reaching with hands and arms Fieldstone Landscape Services offers a full suite of residential and commercial landscape maintenance services to help clients manage the health of their lawns, trees, shrubs, and plant life through supplemental, seasonal, or year-round maintenance.
