Qualifications:
Previous experience in lawn care, landscaping, pest control, or a related field. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, especially the Florida heat Ability to handle heavy lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to professionally and effectively communicate with customers and answer questions about their lawns and our services A growth mindset and interest in taking on more responsibility over time Available to work Monday through Friday during daylight hours; our hours can vary based on time of year and weather conditions. We aim for efficiency with our daily routes. This means there could be longer days as well as slow days and days off during the week depending on workload. Proof of Green Industry Best Management Practices (GI-BMP) training course completion, or willingness to complete course within the first month of employment Able to pass a background check and qualified to work in the U.S.
Job Expectations and Duties:
You’ll be responsible for independently handling a daily route of residential clients, providing the scheduled lawn care and pest control services in that area. Apply fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides safely and effectively, following the product label instructions. Using specialized equipment to ensure even application across various lawn sizes. Identify and treat weeds, insects, and other pests affecting lawns and landscaping. Perform preventative pest control treatments for homes and outdoor spaces. Inspect lawns for signs of insect damage, disease or nutrient deficiencies. Apply fungicides or corrective treatments as needed to restore lawn health. Safely operate and maintain equipment such as sprayers, spreaders, and hoses, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Maintain accurate service records, including treatment logs and customer interactions. Communicate with the supervisor, effectively and in a timely manner, regarding any unusual lawn conditions, pest control activity, and follow-up service needs. Provide guidance on watering schedules, mowing practices, and other landscaping or lawn maintenance tips, and promote additional services when appropriate. You will be expected to report to the business location before the start of each day.
