Job Summary:

This position is responsible for applying fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides to residential and commercial lawns to enhance their appearance and health. This role involves inspecting lawns, identifying issues, and using specialized equipment and chemicals to achieve optimal results. Explaining treatment to customers and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Application of Treatments:

Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides to lawns and landscaped areas according to established guidelines and safety procedures.

Inspection and Assessment:

Evaluate lawns for signs of pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies. Provide recommendations for treatment plans based on observations.

Equipment Maintenance:

Operate and maintain lawn spray equipment, including sprayers and spreaders. Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and report any malfunctions.

Safety and Compliance:

Follow all safety protocols and regulations regarding the handling and application of chemicals. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Customer Interaction:

Communicate with clients to explain treatments, answer questions, and address concerns. Provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of treatments performed, chemicals used, and observations made. Complete required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.

Inventory Management:

Monitor and manage inventory of chemicals and equipment. Order supplies as needed and keep track of usage.

Training and Development:

Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and best practices. Participate in training sessions and workshops as required.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Additional coursework or certification in pest management or horticulture is a plus.

Experience:

Previous experience in lawn care, pest control, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Skills:

Knowledge of lawn care products and equipment. Ability to identify common pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Certifications:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:
