⚐ ⚑ ⚑ Farm Hand (New Port Richey) compensation: $14-$16 per hour employment type: experience level: entry level job title: Farm Hand Part Time We are a private property owners managing a small farm and animal rescue with various fruit trees and animals, including turkeys, chickens, goats, and dogs. We are looking for a dedicated, hardworking individual to assist with animal care, farm maintenance, and property upkeep on a fixed schedule. Please note that this position is a direct hire with us personally, and is not affiliated with our animal rescue organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Animal Care & Maintenance:
- Pick up after the dogs in the yard.
- Clean and maintain animal areas, including mucking out the goat porch and bird coop.
- Bathe and groom the dogs regularly.
- Provide basic obedience training for the dogs.
Farm & Landscape Maintenance:
- Perform light outdoor maintenance tasks such as filling in holes created by the dogs.
- Water the plants, weed garden areas, and assist with mulching and landscape upkeep as needed.
- Assist with additional basic repair and upkeep tasks around the property.
Work Schedule:
- 3 days a week, flexible schedule, 6 hours each day
Qualifications:
- A strong work ethic and a hands-on approach to physical labor.
- A genuine love for animals and comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic skills in animal care and landscaping, with a willingness to learn simple training techniques and maintenance tasks.
- Prior experience with farm work, animal care, or landscaping is an asset, though not required.
