Lawn and Tree Chemical Technician Reinigen Lawns Bellmore, NY 11710 OVERVIEW

OF POSITION

Reinigen Lawns is seeking an experienced and highly knowledgeable Landscaping Chemical Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience diagnosing and treating lawn and ornamental issues such as weeds, fungi, and insect infestations . This is a key role focused on maintaining the health and appearance of our clients’ lawns, trees, and shrubs using industry-approved chemical applications and treatments. Applicants must possess a current NY DEC 3a Technician license . A 3a Applicator license is highly preferred. Valid NYS driver’s license is required.

SCHEDULE

Monday through Friday , with occasional weekend availability as needed. Work may be rescheduled due to rain. In such cases, you’ll be expected to make up the workload on following days. During the off-season (December-February) , opportunities for work include snow removal, masonry, and tree services .

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Accurately diagnose lawn, tree, and shrub issues , including insect, weed, and fungal problems Capable of reading chemical labels and mixing chemicals correctly Apply herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, and fertilizers in accordance with safety protocols and DEC regulations Track and maintain accurate chemical application logs and treatment plans Communicate with clients professionally about treatment schedules, results, and preventative care Maintain and calibrate spray equipment, spreaders, and storage systems Collaborate with landscaping and irrigation teams for holistic lawn care management Ensure environmental responsibility in all chemical use and disposal

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 5 years experience in diagnosing and treating lawns, bushes, and trees for weed, fungus, and pest issues NY DEC 3a Technician License (Applicator preferred) Valid NYS Driver’s License (CDL not required but a plus) Strong understanding of chemical application techniques , safety, and record-keeping Fluent in English ; bilingual in Spanish is a plus High attention to detail and ability to follow regulatory procedures Ability to work independently, solve problems on-site, and adapt to weather-related scheduling Comfortable lifting and moving equipment and materials up to 100 lbs

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role involves physically demanding tasks including lifting, walking, standing for long periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
