Benefits Brevard County is an EEO and Veteran’s Preference employer. Full Time Open Until Filled. $16.52 to $18.17 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. South Area/Longpoint Campground. Work schedule is variable and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. Performs experienced protective service work in providing the public with information, direction, and first aid and in protecting County property.
REQUIREMENTS
One (1) year of public relations experience in a hospitality, retail, or service-orientated position PLUS one (1) year of cash handling and reconciliation (cash register or bank teller experience) PLUS one (1) year of professional experience in data entry and retrieval. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. One (1) year of protective services, security, or law enforcement experience is preferred.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver’s license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must possess, or obtain within six (6) months of employment a valid first aid certification and a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification from an approved agency and maintain both certifications during the term of employment. The applicant will be disqualified from further consideration for the position if a Level I background criminal background investigation, performed in accordance with Brevard County Administrative Order 5 (AO-5), discloses the applicant has disqualifying convictions (as defined in AO-5). In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed. Employer
