This position may also work on site at a park location as needed. Under supervision of the Park Manager, an employee of this class is primarily responsible for the care and maintenance of park lands and amenities (i.e. meadow, hiking trails, picnic pavilions and restrooms.), monitoring use and enforcing park rules and regulations. Supervision is exercised over temporary/seasonal employees. Does related work as required. This is a safety sensitive position and participation in the Drug and Alcohol Program is required . MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma/GED AND (2) two years experience in park landscaping, turf maintenance or related fields; and the ability to achieve the following certifications within one (1) year of hire. Pesticide Applicator certification required. Trail Master certification required. Certified Burner certification required. First Aid/CPR required. Valid North Carolina Driver License required.
