Open Positions Town of Meredith 41 Main St, Meredith, NH 03253 Summer Camp Counselor Summer Camp Counselors are needed to work in a high quality 8-week day camp, offering children in grades K-8 a wide array of activities, both passive and active, arts and crafts, special events, and field trips. The camp is offered in the Meredith Community Center which is an 18,000 square foot air-conditioned facility; featuring a climbing wall, stage, arts and crafts room, game room, commercial kitchen, and multi-purpose spaces. The summer camp also utilizes a playground, public beach, playing fields, open green spaces, and local hiking trails. We are looking for high energy, enthusiastic people to lead our campers through a fun-filled summer. The position works a 40-hour week beginning shortly after school ends and ending Aug. 15 with a great pay rate depending on experience. The position receives strong support from experienced full-time administration. Open to ages 15+. $15.47-$16.66 per hour Parks & Rec Maintenance Laborer A person who takes great pride in their work is needed to perform maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and cleaning up of parks, beaches, playgrounds, and hiking trails. The position is well supported with resources, equipment, great working conditions, and experienced administration. The position has a flexible start and end date and the number of hours per week is also flexible. The position offers a great pay rate. Open to ages 16+. $18.58per hour Water Safety Instructor The Town of Meredith is now accepting applications for a seasonal (part-time) Red Cross Water Safety Instructor within the Parks & Recreation Department. This position, under the direct supervision of the Parks and Recreation Director, organizes and conducts the swim lesson program held at Waukewan Beach. Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification is required (Employer provides certification training for the right person). This is a 35-hour-per-week position, and the work schedule is flexible Mon-Fri. The start and end date for the lesson schedule is approximately July 7- Aug. 15, however the schedule has flexibility. $15.47-$16.66 per hour Police Cadet Cadets are responsible for enforcing the Town of Meredith’s Parking Ordinances, to include both motor vehicles and boat/trailer parking. While conducting parking enforcement Cadets will be required to document activity by keeping daily logs and issuing paperwork accordingly in compliance with Town Parking Ordinances. Cadets will be required to operate and carry a police portable radio. This position will also assist patrons at the public boat launches in Meredith by checking registrations and taking fees as needed. Weekend work may be required.
