Assistant Ranger Hunting Island State Park (SCPRT) 2555 Sea Island Parkway, Saint Helena Island, SC 29920 Overview As a Park Ranger, you will play a vital role in preserving and protecting natural resources while ensuring the safety and enjoyment of park visitors. This position requires a passion for the outdoors, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You will engage with the public, enforce park regulations, and contribute to the maintenance and improvement of park landscapes. Duties Provide excellent customer service to our guests Enforce rules and regulations Managing daily operations with little or no supervision Mowing, weed eating, bathroom cleaning, trash pickup, other tasks as needed Routine safety inspections of assigned areas Cleaning/Washing Vehicles On call duty shifts Outside for long periods of times, ability to cope with bugs Communicates effectively through written and oral communication
