Position:

As a Universal Technician , you’ll be the face of our company, providing expert pest control services while identifying sales opportunities across all our service categories. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, meeting new people, and making a difference in customers’ lives. Start Tech will complete the initial service for new accounts. You will be working indoors, outdoors, on roofs, and in attics. The job is a busy, active, physical, full-time role.

Responsibilities:

Inspect residential properties to identify pest issues. Apply pesticides and other treatments safely and in compliance with regulations. Educate customers on pest prevention strategies and maintenance. Build and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse customer base. Provide exceptional customer service and build strong client relationships Handle physical tasks like lifting 50 lbs., accessing roofs via ladders, and inspecting crawl spaces. Operate necessary tools and equipment, including iPads and termite rods. Tolerate various environmental conditions, including seasonal weather and dusty locations.

Paid Training Requirements:

Complete Nozzle Nolen Orientation & Training. May need to complete state certification/licensing after on-the-job training. Additional training as identified by the Supervisor or Human Resources. Perks of the

OVERVIEW

Responsible for identifying, selecting and mixing, and applying products or manual solutions to eliminate pests. Inspect customers premises and advise and recommend possible treatment needed. The Universal Float Technician can do it all. Expert in Pest Control & Termites

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

Visually inspect for pest, pest harborage, pest entries, etc., including, rats, termites, snakes, wasps, ants, spiders, mosquitoes, or bed bugs. Set traps, place baits, and remove dead rodents after extermination or live animals after trapping. Educate clients in proper sanitation and storage practices and advise clients of the need to perform proper sanitation as part of the pest control program. Make suggestions for additional services to customers based on your findings. Provide detailed notes in PestPac on what was found, what treatments were done, and what was communicated to the customer. Work together with supervisors in the areas of sanitation and pest elimination Collaborate with sales department to resolve problems with clients in the areas of service and pricing Collaborate with the quality control department when needed for training or resolving pest problems. Perform a mix of route work, call backs, and new account starts. Complete scheduled work as assigned and be able to respond to last minute changes to your schedule when notified by your manager. Respond to client complaints as quickly as possible after receiving notification Work flexible schedule as required to meet client expectations, including occasional weekends and evenings Ensure safety procedures are followed for application and reentry. Keep service vehicle organized, professional, clean and follow all regulations Maintain proper inventory of tools, equipment, and materials in company vehicle. Attend monthly training meetings with branch Use OSHA mandated personal protective and respiratory equipment Assist co-workers on as a needed basis All of the above duties and responsibilities are essential job functions subject to reasonable accommodation. QUALIFCATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent Driver’s license required; Commercial Driver’s License may be required. Clean Driving record and able to past background and drug test. Previous experience in pest control and/or lawn care tech helpful, but not necessarily required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to follow oral and written instructions Ability to apply pesticides chemicals in accordance with established regulations and to read, understand and follow chemical label instructions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate with diverse population. Ability to lift 50lbs regularly, crawl through attics, use a ladder to access roofs and inspect crawl space. Skilled in use of tools and equipment necessary to perform task (includes iPad, termite rods, etc.) Physical Stamina Ability to tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, seasonal weather, damp locations and dusty locations

Satisfactory completion of Nozzle Nolen Orientation & Training May be required to complete state certification/licensing process after on-the-job training Completion of additional training identified by Supervisor or Human Resources.
