Performs assessment inspections at residences in Richmond County to enforce adherence to laws and regulations about Mosquito harboring ordinance and the health and safety of the public. Performs routine treatment of storm-water basins during evening hours to promote and enforce regulations about mosquito ordinances to improve the health and safety of the public. Performs surveillance on adult mosquitoes through surveillance of larval sites and handling residential and commercial complaints that are documented in 311. Performs routine maintenance of all equipment and managing customer service requests in the evenings to spray for the control of mosquito populations. Attends special weekend events that will occur throughout the season to educate the public on the importance of mosquito control. Works with the Director of Mosquito and Vector Surveillance, the Mosquito Program Manager and the Pond Program Manager with multiple civic groups in the community to educate and inform the public on the protection and control of mosquito-borne vector-transmitted disease. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma/GED Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be 25 years old to drive a company vehicle. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. unassisted.
