- What Are the Duties of Our Aquatic Technicians?
- The primary goal of this role is to maintain the natural ecological balance of our aquatic ecosystems. Their work contributes to the health of the water and the safety of its users. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Drive a truck and trailer and operate a UTV or motorboat multiple times daily.
- Treat water for algae, submerged weeds, shoreline vegetation, undesirable buffer plants, and any other unwanted growth.
- Provide excellent service, ensuring all company contracts, service orders, and customer needs are met.
- Manually remove nuisance and invasive vegetation when necessary.

Essential Job Functions:
- Have a mechanical inclination (preferred).
- Be capable of operating trailers and aquatic vessels (preferred).
- Possess knowledge of aquatic vegetation (preferred). This role requires significant physical exertion, including driving, standing, walking, bending, climbing, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods. Employees must also be able to see, hear, speak, and use their hands and arms for various tasks.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- What Are the Qualifications?
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred 1-2 years of experience working independently outdoors.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, including weekends as needed.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record.

Work Conditions:
- Primarily outdoors (exposed to weather elements; extreme heat above 100°F and/or cold below 32°F for extended periods).
- Hazards include mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical currents, heights, scaffolding, chemical exposure, and high temperatures. Atmospheric conditions, including fumes, mold, mist, gas, and poor ventilation, could affect the respiratory system or skin.
- Potential exposure to animals and insects.
- Must meet physical requirements and/or pass medical certification in compliance with state and federal regulations and company safety policies regarding personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to an OSHA-compliant respirator.
