In this role, you’ll operate a variety of large equipment and trucks, including a bucket truck, chipper, tractor, and water truck, as well as hand and gas-powered tools.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Your primary responsibilities will include: Pruning and maintaining trees, palms, and landscaped areas within the public right-of-wayAssisting with general landscaping tasks such as watering and irrigation system repairWorking closely with team members to complete daily maintenance goalsSafely operating vehicles and equipment, including pickup trucks and other heavy machinery

Note:

Operation of some vehicles (bucket truck, water truck) is expected within one year of hireTraining will be provided as needed for safe equipment use and irrigation systems

Hands-On Training:

New hires receive on-the-job training in equipment operation, tree care, irrigation repair, and safety procedures. Whether you’re new to landscaping or just looking to expand your skills, we’ll provide the guidance and tools you need to succeed.

CDL Support:

Don’t have a Commercial Driver’s License yet? No problem. We’ll help you prepare for and obtain your Florida Class “B” CDL within your first year. This includes time to study, access to vehicles for practice, and mentorship from experienced staff.

Career Advancement:

This role is a great starting point for a long-term career in public works or landscaping. With experience, there are opportunities to move into higher-level technician roles, crew leadership, or specialized positions.
