Job Description:

Foreman – American Tree Solutions Position Overview American Tree Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Foreman to lead our tree service team in delivering safe, efficient, and professional services. The Foreman will oversee daily operations, delegate tasks, and work hands-on alongside the crew to ensure high-quality results. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities Team Leadership:

Supervise and motivate crew members to complete jobs safely and efficiently. Delegate tasks based on team members’ strengths and project requirements. Conduct pre-job briefings to discuss plans, risks, and assignments.

Technical Skills:

Climb trees and perform necessary cuts, trims, and removals safely using ropes and rigging systems. Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including spider lifts, skid steers, and mini skids. Drive trucks with large trailers, ensuring safe transport of equipment and debris.

Operations and Safety:

Ensure compliance with safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Monitor and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles to keep them in top condition. Communicate effectively with clients to ensure their expectations are met.

Planning and Execution:

Assess job sites to determine the safest and most efficient approach. Handle unforeseen challenges with problem-solving and adaptability.

Requirements Experience:

Minimum of 3 years in tree service or related field, with at least 1 year in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of ropes, rigging, and tree removal techniques.

Licenses and Certifications:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) is preferred but not required. ISA certification (preferred but not a requirement).

Skills:

Proficient in climbing and using safety equipment. Experience operating and troubleshooting spider lifts, skid steers, and other machinery. Ability to safely drive trucks with large trailers.

Physically fit to perform demanding outdoor labor in various weather conditions. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
