We serve our residential, commercial, fleet, and government customers through our 120+ retail store locations in thirteen states, supported by our corporate office (Mt. Airy, NC), distribution centers, and strategically located manufacturing facilities. Job Summary The Lead Mobile Technician is based within the Charlotte, NC and surrounding area, with operations in the U.S., and has overall responsibility for supervising and performing mobile truck accessory installations while coordinating team schedules, ensuring quality, and serving as the primary customer contact. This position reports directly to the DSM and has 1 direct report. Job Responsibilities Leads, coordinates, and performs mobile installations of truck accessories at customer sites. Acts as the point of contact for the customer during on-site service visits. Assigns tasks to team members, oversees job progress, and ensures timely and high-quality installations. Trains and mentors Mobile Technicians on procedures, tools, and customer interactions. Conducts quality checks on completed jobs to confirm compliance with standards. Manages the mobile team’s daily schedule and routing. Ensures team members follow DOT regulations and safety procedures, including pre-trip inspections and hours-of-service logs. Maintains accurate records of work orders, inventory usage, and customer feedback. Reports equipment needs, safety concerns, and scheduling issues to management. Operates and maintains the mobile service truck and tools. Expert-level mechanical and installation skills. Strong communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of aftermarket truck accessories and vehicle systems. Familiarity with DOT driving regulations. Ability to work in a dynamic, field-based environment. Education/Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications preferred. 5+ years of installation or mechanical experience; 2+ years in a supervisory role. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. Will need to complete a DOT Physical. Travel This position requires regular travel to customer locations and possible overnight stays.
