DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Equipment Operator B, you will be responsible for operating a variety of medium-weight, single chassis vehicles and maintenance equipment on and off the hospital grounds in support of various hospital programs, services, and functions. Your duties will include digging and excavating for repairs to existing equipment and new construction, as well as instructing and demonstrating the operation equipment such as excavators and dozers. You will also provide escort and delivery services. This will include medication and dietary services pick up and delivery, escorting patients within and outside of hospital grounds, and delivering equipment such as oxygen tanks. You can expect to perform snow removal and prepare equipment for such before the winter season. Additionally, you will perform groundskeeping duties such as lawn maintenance, planting trees and shrubs, and removing debris. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work a rotating schedule, including holidays and weekends, with a 12-hour shift on every 5th or 6th weekend. This may change based on operational needs. Travel and overtime as needed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of experience as an Equipment Operator A (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Two years of experience in the operation of heavy construction and specialized maintenance equipment used at this level with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or more; or Any equivalent combination of experience or training.
Special Requirements:
You must have possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver’s license.
Condition of Employment:
This position requires possession of a Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL) with air brake endorsement, in order to meet operational needs.
