Our firm specializes in the areas of residential and commercial architecture, restaurants, and sustainability. A|D|A is currently seeking a committed Project Architect with a minimum of 7 years of experience. The ideal candidate seeks to apply their previous work experience to manage the day-to-day design and production of projects. This is a F/T position. Project Architect responsibilities commensurate with previous experience include. Leading the design team, coordinating work with clients, consultants, and vendors. Day-to-day management of project progress. Managing the production of drawings for all phases of a project, from preliminary design through contract administration. Attending meetings with new potential clients. Creating renderings and visuals for project presentations. Involvement in on site team meetings. Required Qualifications. Desire and Ability to implement and manage all aspects of the design, documentation and construction phases from project start to completion with limited oversight. Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to independently coordinate work of multidiscipline teams, including Consultants and vendors throughout the entire project. Proficiency on AutoCAD including working knowledge of model / layout spaces, areas, blocks, layers, and scaling. Responsible for management of drawing development, coordination, and completion, including drafting, detailing, oversight of support staff, and quality control. Knowledge of both commercial and residential construction techniques. Must be proficient in building standards. Contain a working knowledge of CT State building codes and have an ability to coordinate all required codes. Strong attention to detail. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain schedules and deadlines. Exceptional and creative architectural and graphic design sense. Strong listening, verbal, and written skills Professional license in the State of Connecticut Desired Qualifications. A working knowledge of Adobe Suite and three-dimensional software applications. Experience with working on projects in NYC. Working knowledge of NY Building Codes and experience with NYC DOB Experience in marketing and developing new client relationships.
