Role description:
We are looking for a Principal Architectwith experience in delivering complex mission critical andindustrial projects from start to finish. This is a greatopportunity for a passionate and creative mind to take on dynamicand challenging projects and be part of leading the creative designinitiatives on Industrial and mission Critical projects bothlocally and internationally. They will be a part of the team,helping to win, design and mentor a team of architects on MissionCritical and Industrial projects.
Role accountabilities: Work with the Practice Group Manager, Industrial facilities togrow the mission critical and Industrial business in theregion. Leverage your existing experience and relationships with thenational and global experience of the firm to grow your respectivemarket. Develop and maintain key relationships within our internalorganization. Lead and facilitate cross-sector / discipline / office effortsthrough collaboration and the development of inter-officerelationships. Develop and maintain key contacts in that industry. Write and review proposals. Lead and foster client relationships and projectpresentations. Provide high level guidance to achieve a trusted partner statuswith clients. Hands-on involvement and leadership with project design,coordination, preparation, and delivery of project documents. Part of leading the process of creating and developing thefundamental design principles to guide a project from the earlieststages of its conception and continue to assist in its developmentand refinement through subsequent design and implementationphases. As a member of the senior leadership team, collaborate withother practice leaders and colleagues to enhance Arcadis IndustrialFacilities Studio’s culture for design excellence. Assist with preparing Business Development (BD) proposals inbidding for new work.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum University Degree in Architecture. Minimum of 15 years experience. 10 years experience in Industrial projects will be consideredan asset. Licensed Architect with current registration required. Experience with large complex projects in manufacturing,automotive, food, refrigeration and aerospace is preferred. Strategic thinking leadership skills, with an ability toconnect business with practice. Comprehensive understanding of project coordination and relatedrequirements of all disciplines, under demanding deadlines. Demonstrate ability in business development.
