Job Description:

At Greenleaf Architects, we are seeking a dedicated and talented Experienced Project Architect to join our fast-paced, fun, and collaborative team. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, is proficient in Revit, and has 5-10 years of proven experience in all phases of the design process. Architectural license and commercial experience preferred. The Project Architect shall operate with effective communication and interpersonal skills, in addition to excellent organizational and time-management skills. A collaborative team player, the Project Architect will prepare presentations and documents reflective of the Greenleaf standards. Excellent digital and verbal communication are vital, as well as being a diligent, independent, and creative-minded problem solver. This person must be able to manage their tasks, projects, support staff and consultants accordingly. The Project Architect is responsible for producing conceptual documents throughout schematic design and design development, transition into construction documents with technical accuracy and maintaining code compliance throughout all phases. A relationship-oriented approach during construction is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and participate in the design and project delivery process for Architectural services. Coordinate with cross-discipline team members to ensure that everyone is on track with project requirements, deadlines, and budgets. Remain accountable and aware of project responsibilities, tasks, and milestones associated to obtain success of the project. Be aware of additional services opportunities and present to the management team and client for approval. Build client relationships through trust and loyalty. Manage one or more design projects in collaboration with all team members, through all phases of design through construction completion. Thorough understanding and preparation of commercial design projects from initial concept through construction document process. Conduct RFP’s, complete bid analysis, negotiate and administer contracts for FF&E packages. Develop digital and physical presentation boards throughout the project process and as required by milestones. Ensure company policies, procedures and guidelines are complied with in a professional manner and are demonstrated in all oral and written communications. Exceptional communication skills are a must. Must be able to effectively communicate with clients, project team members including consultants, contractors, studio, and management team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of design, structures, appropriate product application, building codes, construction, and cost. Strong skills in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, Enscape, and Microsoft Office Suite. Superior understanding of construction document content and preparation. Ability to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment. Supreme time management and multi-tasking capabilities. Results-oriented and solution-focused. Excellent organizational and time-management skills including the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet changing deadlines. The ideal candidate will enjoy the opportunity of getting to know their clients as a personal and operational business. Excellent and effective collaboration ability within the architectural studio. Must be flexible enough to be a support person and act as a team lead as required by different projects. Proven ability to identify, solve problems and resolve conflicts. Excellent internal and external customer service skills. Excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
