CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Sr. Architect to join our Commercial & Institutional – Buildings Team at our Portland, ME or Albany, NY office.

The Sr. Architect has broad knowledge of architectural fundamentals and knowledge of principles and practices in related disciplines. The professional in this role plans, schedules, executes, and coordinates detailed phases of complex projects. Additionally, the Sr. Architect manages, coordinates, and mentors junior staff and project level employees. More specifically, the Sr. Architect is responsible for designing buildings, preparing project proposals and completing projects from design through construction. At CHA, this key role determines project objectives and requirements, ensures government regulations and zoning codes are followed, and demonstrates creativity, foresight, and solid architectural judgement in solving problems. This individual prepares 2D & 3D presentations and manages all aspects of client relations including attending regular meetings and traveling as needed. REQUIREMENTS
Professional degree in architecture from an accredited program required (BArch or MArch)
Minimum of 15 years of related professional experience required
Registered Architect license is required
LEED accreditation is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Revit
Knowledge of Photoshop and other presentation software is preferred
Exceptional verbal, written and graphic communication skills
Ability to work and lead in a team environment
Demonstrates good interpersonal and leadership skills
Demonstrates strong familiarity with QA/QC procedures
Strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills
Understands business practices and laws related to architecture
SALARY RANGE
$102,000 – $122,500
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
