Pay:
FE is seeking a Project Architect with a minimum of 6 years in professional practice to join our Brooklyn, NY studio. The successful applicant will collaborate closely with the partners and design staff across all aspects of the practice, including both design and management. The position involves taking on a leadership role in structuring and tracking project deliverables, guiding internal reviews, and maintaining regular communication with consultant teams as well as clients. As a Project Architect you will play a key role in ensuring design excellence, technical rigor, and client satisfaction across multiple projects while supporting the Partners in firm operations, staffing, and business development.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Professional architectural degree (B.Arch or M.Arch)
Licensure:
To be considered for this position you must be a registered architect
Experience:
6-8 years experience (following graduation) in architectural offices, including leadership roles in project management and design direction. English fluency is required and you must be a US citizen or have a US work visa and be authorized to work in the US.
Portfolio:
Past work demonstrating exceptional design skills, and an ability to manage multi-phase projects and lead interdisciplinary coordination efforts.
Collaboration:
A proven record of guiding teams through projects while fostering team cohesion and design excellence.
Software Proficiency:
Fluency with AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, and the Adobe Creative Suite is required. Familiarity running project management in Notion is preferred, but not necessary.
Technical Skills:
High level of comfort in detailing, code compliance, and consultant coordination. Proficiency in project documentation across all phases, including feasibility studies, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
Soft Skills:
Strong organizational, multi-tasking and communication abilities.
Proven leadership in managing teams, workflows, and schedules under the guidance of the Partners. Ability to present to clients, consultants, and stakeholders. Comfortable managing multiple deadlines, consultant teams and working within a fast-paced studio environment.
COMPENSATION
& BENEFITS Salary range: $78,000-$95,000, commensurate with experience 3 weeks of paid vacation and office holidays, including the week before New Year’s
