Asphalt Laborer Shields Asphalt Coating, Inc 755 South Suncoast Boulevard, Homosassa, FL 34448 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Laborer to join our asphalt sealcoating and striping company for commercial and residential parking lot asphalt projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks on jobsites, running equipment, maintenance of equipment and driving to jobsite and ensuring that projects run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a strong work ethic, the ability to operate and maintain machinery, have a valid drivers license , be drug free and a commitment to safety standards. Duties Operate equipment including graders, loaders, backhoes, and dump trucks as needed on construction sites. Assist in paving activities and ensure proper material handling. Perform utility locating tasks to prevent damage to underground utilities. Collaborate with team members to build structures and complete construction projects. Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Participate in site clean-up and organization of materials. Qualifications Previous experience in construction or labor-intensive roles is preferred. Proficiency in operating graders, loaders, backhoes, front loader trucks, and other heavy machinery. Familiarity with utility locating techniques and practices. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
