Asphalt Worker Position Available In Putnam, Florida

Asphalt Worker Copper Roads Palatka, FL 32177 Job Overview Experienced lute and screw man. Experience on equipment is preferred as we do not pave everyday, we build the roads as well. Experience hauling equipment is preferred but CDL is not required. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as graders, loaders, backhoes, and dump trucks to prepare and maintain construction sites. Pave asphalt surfaces using appropriate techniques and equipment. Build and repair roads, parking lots, and other asphalt structures. Conduct utility locating to ensure safe excavation practices. Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections and minor repairs. Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within specifications. Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment at all times. Qualifications Proven experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred. Familiarity with paving techniques and asphalt materials. Experience operating loaders, graders, backhoes, front loader trucks, and dump trucks is highly desirable. Ability to read blueprints and understand construction plans. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
