Asphalt laborer S.G. Paving & Contracting LLC Cumming, GA 30041 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy equipment operation and asphalt experience as well as strong work ethic. This role involves working on various construction and maintenance projects, where you will be responsible for operating machinery and assisting in the completion of tasks that require physical labor. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as asphalt rollers, asphalt pavers, graders, and skid steer loaders to complete construction tasks. Perform utility locating to ensure safe digging practices. Assist in installing and setting gravel base, driving service truck to and from job, shoveling, running an asphalt lute, running asphalt paver, finish rollers and breakdown rollers, and skid steers. Maintain equipment by performing regular inspections and minor repairs. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion. Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Requirements Proven experience in heavy equipment operation and asphalt paving is preferred. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials as needed. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
