Job SummaryHeavy Equipment Operator Foremen will be responsible foroperating a variety of heavy highway construction equipment,managing the cost, budgets, and schedule of jobs with safety andquality in mind. While also managing crews to ensure assignedresponsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner.

Required to proficiently operate multiple or all of SiemaConstruction’s core equipment (Dozer, Excavator, Motor Grader,Concrete Pavers, Skid Steer, etc.) Proficient in two or more major construction activities(grading, installation of stormwater drainage systems, demolition,etc.). Ability to run and manage a pipe/earthwork crew, installdrainage, structures, box culverts, grading, slopes, layout,etc. Responsible for routine inspection and maintenance ofequipment. Ability to read, understand, and teach plan reading. Must have good time management skills to ensure assignedresponsibilities are completed in an efficient and safemanner. Maintain a high level of morale among crew members and work asa student and a teacher. Possess a Valid Driver’s license and meet the criteria to drivea Siema Vehicle Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Education Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiplyand divide with 10s and 100s; ability to add, subtract, multiplyand divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, commonfractions, and decimals. Compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to understand field stakes and perform necessary layoutfor material installation. Proficient at reading, writing, basic addition, andsubtraction. Ability to manage aspects of construction•scheduling, cost,safety, and quality.
