Asphalt Superintendent Position Available In Brunswick, North Carolina

Asphalt Superintendent 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars 2270 Ocean West Highway, Supply, NC 28462 We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Surface Treatment Superintendent to lead and manage surface treatment paving operations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of chip seal, slurry seal, and other asphalt surface treatments, and will be responsible for managing crews, equipment, schedules, and quality control on various paving projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise daily operations of surface treatment crews, including chip seal, fog seal, and slurry seal applications. Coordinate equipment, materials, and personnel to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Inspect job sites before, during, and after operations to ensure quality and safety standards are met. Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, inspectors, and other stakeholders. Schedule and monitor maintenance and transportation of equipment. Maintain accurate records of production, labor, equipment usage, and materials. Enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Provide training and mentorship to crew members as needed.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in asphalt paving and surface treatment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. In-depth knowledge of chip seal, slurry seal, microsurfacing, and related techniques. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints, and job specifications. Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred. Proficient in job site documentation and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

OSHA 30-hour certification. Experience with GPS and project management tools. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
