As a licensed and well-established company, we handle projects of all sizes across both public and private sectors. We are certified by SCDOT, NCDOT, and VDOT, and are fully bonded and insured, ensuring quality and reliability in all our endeavors. Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead the grading crew directly. Provide regular work reports to the Superintendent. Operate various heavy equipment for dirt and site projects. Demonstrate expertise in dirt work, including excavation, grading, surveying, and final excavation tasks. Efficiently operate equipment while applying the best strategies for dirt movement based on site-specific conditions. Accurately read, understand, and interpret drawings and specifications. Track and report daily time, materials used, and production metrics. Ensure safety protocols are followed and offer coaching for improvements. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each key duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High School Diploma or GED preferred. 3+ Years of experience as a Grade Foreman with site grading and/or heavy highway construction is required. Must be well-organized. Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with management and fellow employees. Constant physical effort, including; standing for extended periods of time, bending, lifting and carrying on a frequent basis (at least 50 pounds, as much as 90 pounds, as may be assigned), and climbing on and off heavy equipment safely. Maintain constant alertness to multiple concurrent activities on construction site, including; the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment.

Work Environment:

Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions. Work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust that are typically associated with a construction project. Employee regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery. Work may involve a variety of substances commonly found on construction sites such as form oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline, diesel fuel and ready mixed concrete.
