Asphalt Paver P 2 Contracting, LLC Clymer, NY 14724 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Paver to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy equipment operation and a strong understanding of paving techniques. This role involves working on various construction sites, ensuring that asphalt is laid efficiently and effectively to create durable surfaces. The Asphalt Paver will play a crucial role in the success of our projects, contributing to the overall quality and safety of the work environment. Responsibilities Operate asphalt paving machines to lay asphalt on roads, parking lots, and other surfaces. Prepare and maintain the work area, ensuring it is safe and organized. Collaborate with team members to ensure proper alignment and thickness of asphalt layers. Conduct routine maintenance checks on paving equipment to ensure optimal performance. Assist with concrete finishing and forming as needed for project requirements. Follow all safety protocols while on construction sites to minimize risks. Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members regarding project progress and any issues that arise. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation. Experience with commercial vehicles and commercial driving. Proficient in paving techniques and concrete pumping. Ability to build forms for concrete applications as required. Familiarity with construction site operations and safety regulations. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail to ensure high-quality work standards are met.
