The ideal candidate will have a strong hands-on background in steam and hot water boiler systems, combustion controls, and burner technologies. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Knowledge of various burner/boiler manufacturers and alternative fuel systems is highly valued. Duties Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of boiler and burner systems. Diagnose and tune combustion systems, including both linkage and linkageless control configurations. Service and maintain equipment from manufacturers such as Johnston, Hurst, Cleaver-Brooks, Lochinvar, Power Flame, Webster, Oilon , and others. Work with burner and boiler control systems, including combustion analysis and adjustments. Maintain accurate service logs and documentation for all completed work and parts used. Communicate effectively with clients to explain issues, recommendations, and solutions in a professional manner. Collaborate with team members to address urgent service needs and support larger installation or retrofit projects. Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies during service and maintenance activities. Skills Proficient in steam and hot water boiler system maintenance and repair In-depth understanding of burners and combustion controls , including alternative fuels (preferred) Familiarity with HVAC/R systems and industrial maintenance practices Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and control diagrams Solid understanding of mechanical systems , with experience in instrumentation and PLCs considered a plus Strong communication and customer service skills Self-directed with the ability to work independently or as part of a team Computer proficiency for service documentation and diagnostics Join our team as a Senior Boiler Technician and bring your expertise to an organization that values quality work, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
