Commercial Boiler Service Technician Position Available In Hampden, Massachusetts

Commercial Boiler Service Technician HVAC Company Chicopee, MA Pay:

$30.00 – $50.00+/hour

Hours:

7:00am – 3:30pm (applicant must be flexible on start time and end time)

On Call:

One week when on call

Responsibilities:

Install, troubleshoot, and repair boiler room systems and equipment. Diagnose and adjust combustion settings on a wide range of burner applications. Perform field start-up and commissioning of burner systems. Wire and connect controls, valves, switches, and motors related to burner operations. Rebuild, calibrate, and test gas trains, regulators, and control valves. Carry out additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial and/or industrial boiler room service. Relevant industrial licenses or certifications are preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Description/Skills:

Solid working knowledge of steam and hot water boilers, gas and oil burners, associated control systems, electrical circuits, combustion processes, and boiler room piping/equipment. Strong understanding of safety protocols; consistently adheres to use of required personal protective equipment (PPE). Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs independently and 100 lbs with assistance. Maintains a professional, respectful, and customer-focused attitude in all interactions. Effective team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. Able to follow instructions accurately and work independently with minimal supervision. Highly organized, with strong time management and prioritization abilities. Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work. Demonstrates sound judgment, adaptability, creativity, and problem-solving skills to deliver results. Comfortable managing multiple tasks while meeting deadlines and time constraints. Able to read and interpret technical documents, customer specifications, and internal communications with accuracy. Proficient in English grammar and punctuation; strong verbal and written communication skills.
