- Overview Beyond Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Boilermaker, supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB Tennessee.
The selected candidate will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for [e.g. operating and maintaining or supporting] the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts. Open external candidates only. Current BNH employees will not be considered. The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work. Job Summary The successful candidate will, under general supervision, perform metal working, mechanical and manual work in the testing, operating and shop areas of an engineering test facility
Job Duties:
Prepare test facility equipment for operations
Prepare test article for testing
Install test article and check installations
Troubleshoot equipment, test articles, and installations in case of malfunction
Operate plant equipment during test
Assist in tests
Removes test articles after test
Installs and maintains heavy ducting systems, heat exchangers and condensers
Accomplish maintenance and servicing work required to place and keep test facility equipment in operation
Use a wide variety of hand and power tools, power equipment, measuring and testing equipment
Instructs less experienced craftsman
It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy
Perform other duties as required
Basic Qualifications:
Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
Four (4) years of progressive layout, industrial boiler making and metal fabricating work involving fabrication and erection of heavy ducting; layout and fabrication and other metal work similar to that to be accomplished in test facilities
Pre-employment Welding Tests:
Must be able to successfully complete and maintain Welder Performance Qualification tests in accordance with
ASME Section IX:
1/2″ carbon steel plate (A36) SMAW (E7018) double welded. Positions – 2G, 3G, and 4G
All test coupons will be evaluated by radiography in accordance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section IX, Welding and Brazing Qualifications
Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and the AEDC local area network
Must be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to understand, give and take directions
Current U. S. Citizenship required
