Job Description
Summary We are seeking a dedicated Stone & Brick Mason to join our teamat George Pynn Masonry. In this role, you will be responsible for theconstruction and repair of commercial structures that involve brickwork,stonework, restoration, blockwork, precast, and veneer systems. As aStone & Brick Mason you will be responsible for ensuring high-qualityworkmanship that aligns with our standards of excellence and safety.
Responsibilities Carves out and builds structures and surfaces withbricks or concrete blocks. Places brick or concrete blocks on mortarbed. Cuts or saws bricks to fit around windows and doors. Measuresdistances to lay out work. Mixes mortar and grout to be used to laybrick. Spreads mortar onto brick or block surface with a trowel.
Examines brickwork to ensure structure is built correctly. Performsother related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements 1 + year ofexperience as a Stone or Brick Mason. Experience in Masonry techniquesand materials. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawingsaccurately. Familiarity with using power tools safely and effectively.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from jobsites. Preferred Requirements OSHA 10 Certification is required, butreimbursement can be provided. 2+ years of experience in working inconstruction. 2+ years of experience working on commercial projects.
