The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and be capable of working on various projects, including residential and commercial buildings. This role involves constructing, repairing, and renovating structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials. The Brick Mason will collaborate with other tradespeople on the construction site to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities Construct and repair walls, chimneys, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, or stone. Lay out work according to blueprints and specifications. Mix mortar and other materials as needed for bricklaying. Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Collaborate with carpenters, plasterers, and other trades on the construction site. Perform trim carpentry tasks as required for finishing touches on masonry projects. Assist in hardscape projects, including patios and walkways. Renovate existing structures by removing old materials and replacing them with new bricks or blocks. Install drywall as needed in conjunction with masonry work. Conduct concrete finishing tasks to ensure a smooth surface where applicable. Apply stucco finishes to enhance the aesthetic appeal of buildings. Qualifications Proven experience as a Brick Mason or similar role in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of masonry techniques and materials. Familiarity with carpentry skills, particularly trim carpentry. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety practices. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Proficient in plastering techniques for wall finishes. Knowledge of hardscape installation processes is a plus. Experience with drywall installation is beneficial. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods. Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
