Position Summary:

We’re seeking a hands-on, motivated, and detail-oriented Construction Assistant to join our construction division. This entry-level to mid-level role is ideal for someone looking to grow in the trades, particularly in the swimming pool and outdoor construction industry. Training and tools provided. You will be required to report to our Old Tappan, NJ shop every morning.

Responsibilities:

Assist with pool construction tasks including excavation, rebar installation, plumbing, formwork, and concrete prep Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials at job sites Mix and pour materials such as concrete or grout Help install pool equipment: pumps, filters, lights, and water features Maintain a clean and organized worksite throughout the day Support lead technicians and masons with tile, coping, and plaster prep work Ensure all tools and equipment are cleaned, stored properly, and in good working condition Follow safety protocols and wear PPE at all times Communicate professionally with team members and homeowners Take jobsite progress photos and document materials used (if directed)

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required Construction, landscaping, masonry, or pool experience is a plus (but not required) Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions Willingness to learn trade skills including plumbing, tile, and concrete Good communication skills and attention to detail Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic Willingness to submit to a background check and drug screening
