The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and construction, with the ability to work on various projects including residential and commercial buildings. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other tradespeople on the construction site. Duties Construct, repair, and restore structures made of brick, block, stone, and other materials. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications and requirements. Perform drywall installation and finishing as needed for various projects. Execute concrete finishing tasks to ensure smooth and durable surfaces. Apply caulking and sealants to enhance the durability of structures. Collaborate with other trades such as trim carpentry to ensure seamless integration of materials. Conduct site assessments and assist in construction estimating for upcoming projects. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols on the construction site. Qualifications Proven experience in masonry or related construction fields is essential. Knowledge of roof installation techniques is a plus. Familiarity with drywall installation and finishing processes is preferred. Ability to read blueprints accurately and follow detailed instructions. Strong skills in concrete finishing, caulking, and trim carpentry are advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods in various weather conditions. A commitment to safety practices on the job site is required.
