The ideal candidates will have a strong background in masonry and be proficient in working with various materials, including bricks and blocks. This role is essential for the construction and renovation of structures, ensuring that all work meets high standards of quality and safety. Duties Lay bricks, blocks, or stone according to specifications and schematics. Construct walls, arches, and other structures using hand tools and power tools. Renovate existing structures by repairing or replacing damaged masonry. Apply caulking and plaster as needed to ensure a finished product that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters, to ensure project completion. Maintain a clean and organized work area on the construction site. Follow safety protocols to minimize risks associated with construction work. Requirements Proven experience as a Brick/Block Layer or similar role in the construction industry. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to masonry work. Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints accurately. Knowledge of trim carpentry is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team on construction sites.
