- Deliverable (1):
- To ensure all work assigned to the team is completed on schedule and according to specifications, the Lead Carpenter will be held accountable for the following:
Attending and engaging in weekly meetings with the Project Manager (PM) to understand projects and the role of their team in completing daily and weekly project goals.
Making preparations and assisting the site team towards ensuring access to tolls and materials are streamlined to improve efficiency. This includes making sure the necessary materia s and tool rentals are requested in advance and to prevent potential delays to the production schedule.
Planning all team activities and tasks to ensure goals are met according to project timelines.
Continuously inspect all work produced by the team for deficiencies or quality issues and take immediate corrective actions to prevent production delays.
Maintaining regular contact with the Project manager to stay informed about the project.
Details and to anticipate any issues that might impact progress.
Refer any client questions related to timeline changes, scope of work, design, and change orders to the Project Manager.
Communicating as necessary with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
Reporting any issues or concerns to the Project Manager.

- To demonstrate that continuous professional development opportunities are pursued, to maintain an average of 3/5 score on Lead Carpenter Competency Models, and support team members in their learning, the Lead Carpenter will be accountable for the following:
Promoting continuous development and training as being part of company culture.
Supporting the PM during group training and professional development opportunities for the team.
Arranging for carpentry-specific training opportunities for the team, providing direct training to team members, or establishing relationships between more and less skilled team members for mentorship opportunities.
Maintaining continuous professional career development through team meetings, membership(s) in professional organizations, and enrollment in technical courses related to the industry.
Regularly meeting with team members for the purpose of conducting Goal Setting and Review (GSR) activities with them, tracking their performance using Competency Models, identifying and addressing any knowledge,or skill gaps relevant to their role and ensuring their adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) applicable to their role.
Regularly meeting with the Project Manager for the purpose of participating in GSR activities, working diligently towards maintaining an average of 3/5 on Competency Models applicable to the Lead Carpenter role and following SOPs.

- To ensure documentation and project administration activities as required by the Project Manager are fullfilled, the Lead Carpenter will be accountable for the following (administrative tasks).
Ensuring that personal and the team’s work hours are accurately logged using time tracking software.
Completing all expense forms accurately and on time while adhering to expense submission processes and policies.
As necessary, collecting all work and company documentation from the in-house crew to deliver to the Site Superintendent.
Participating in any req
