Carpenters 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Vance, AL 35490 Concrete Carpenter Peoplelink Staffing, in partnership with a prominent Construction Company in the Vance, Alabama area, looking for Concrete Carpenters to join their team!
Job Summary:
Pay:
$18/hr and Up
Shifts Available:
10-hour shifts starting at 5:45am
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints. Measure, cut, and assemble formwork for footings, foundations, walls, columns, slabs, and other concrete structures. Set and align forms to desired grades using levels, plumb bobs, and other layout tools. Install rebar, wire mesh, and embedded items as needed. Pour, spread, and level concrete using rakes, shovels, and screeds. Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete using hand tools, floats, trowels, and power screeds. Dismantle and clean forms after use, preparing them for reuse. Follow safety protocols and maintain clean, organized job sites. Collaborate with foremen, laborers, and other trades to ensure timely and quality project delivery. Requirements Must have 3-5 years of experience Must be proficient in math and reading a tape measure Proficiency with carpentry tools and concrete equipment (e.g., saws, drills, vibrators, trowels). Knowledge of construction safety regulations and procedures. Ability to read construction blueprints and layout measurements. Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials, work at heights, and perform strenuous labor in various weather conditions. Reliable transportation to and from job sites. Why Peoplelink Staffing?
