Job Description
Who You Are… As a Carpenter in our precast construction division, you will perform a variety of tasks involved in the fabrication and installation of wooden and other infrastructure products according to job specifications while practicing safe work habits to ensure efficient and safe production. This Position… Is responsible for the following. Some examples of the work you might do includes…. 1. Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements 2. Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed 3. Cut, shape and smooth lumber 4. Prefabricate window frames, and doors bucks 5. Maintain inventory numbers and submit any material requisitions to management 6. Work with a variety of carpentry hand tool and power tools or equipment 7. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures 8. Maintain a clean and safe work area. 9. Other duties as assigned What Do You Need… High school diploma or equivalent; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is preferred 2+ years of precast or construction experience required 2+ years of previous experience as a carpenter required.
