Lake Wales, FL PAY:
$25-$28/hour (based on experience)
Hours:
Shifts will be 8-hour work days, 5 days per week (per week)
Schedule:
Workdays will be Sunday-Thursday (night shift) 10:00 pm-6:00 am
Duration:
6+ months Commercial carpenter job description: We are looking for a dependable and experienced General Carpenter to support a variety of construction activities on site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing both rough and finish carpentry duties, as well as tasks involving concrete work.
Responsibilities:
Perform casework changes, modifications, and general carpentry repairs Conduct concrete demolition and removal Operate a jackhammer and other heavy-duty tools safely and efficiently Assist with the cleanup and disposal of debris from job sites Measure, cut, and assemble building components with precision Read and interpret blueprints and building plans to meet project specifications Inspect and repair or replace damaged framework, fixtures, or structures Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks Ensure work aligns with building codes and safety regulations Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in frame/rough carpentry Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings Strong understanding of building codes and safety practices Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and craftsmanship Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team Physically capable of standing, bending, kneeling, and using ladders as required Position requires the use of PPE, including: Steel-Toe work boots, safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves
