This position also provides support to the organization and management of entertainment venues, storage facilities, and scene shop, as well as the implementation of safety standards and practices for equipment. In addition, this position will participate in the daily Entertainment operations while providing excellent customer service to our employees and guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Additional duties may be assigned. Management retains the discretion to change or add to the duties of this position at any time. Partners with Manager, Supervisor, Leads, and producers to ensure that all seasonal production aspects are acceptable and functional at each Entertainment venue. Construct, install, and strike all scenic pieces and decor in accordance with specification provided by Supervisor and/or Lead. Assists with the design, build or acquiring of seasonal props for shows Ensure all performers, technicians, ushers, stage managers and staff working in a production capacity are trained relative to safety requirements. Maintains a safe work environment regarding proper use of PPE, hazard-free workplace, proper operational procedures for tools, equipment, chemicals, etc. Partner with Production Lead in implementing and maintaining inventory and organizational control systems for storage facilities and scene shop used by the Entertainment Department. Assists in maintaining all park facilities used by the Entertainment Department. Assists management or producers when working with all contracted shows, ensuring that needs are met. Assists as needed for all seasonal installations and strikes, leading production team members. Serves as Lead Technician or 600 (MOD), as needed, during all Entertainment Seasons. Acts as a liaison and support for departmental employees, ensuring their concerns are met, their working conditions are satisfactory, and the quality of their performance meets the goals of the department and company. Participates in and contributes to the development and orchestration of annual entertainment programming. Attends all Producer Walk-Throughs, Invitational Dress Rehearsals, and Department Trainings as assigned. Attends all department production meetings as needed. Assists with sourcing and the acquisition of all necessary equipment and supplies required for build outs, rehearsals, install and strike as assigned. Provides overall creative input on aspects of entertainment product as assigned. Manages product and associated budgets as assigned. Assists with seasonal auditions as assigned. Conducts show/product/company research as assigned. Provides administrative support as assigned. Oversees and/or leads projects as assigned. All other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Must be proficient in carpentry techniques, including precise measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembly. Must possess knowledge of various materials, tools, and construction methods. Must be able to interpret design plans, blueprints, or sketches and translate them into finished products or tangible structures. Must possess experience in safely operating theatrical scene shop equipment i.e. power tools, nail guns, saws, etc. Must have experience or be able to be trained on safe operation of park vehicles, including ATVs, forklifts, or boom lifts. Must have strong problem-solving skills to think creatively and overcome construction challenges with excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality artisanship and finishes. Must possess knowledge of theme park or entertainment venue safety regulations and protocols. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Must have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Vectorworks, Sketchup, or other design programs and the Internet Must have excellent organizational skills Must be able to maintain a good working relationship with co-workers Must be able to effectively multi-task and make responsible decisions Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business correspondence Must have the ability to write reports and business correspondence Must handle confidential information responsibly EDUCATION and/or
