DESCRIPTION
Responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining and/or replacing all systems needed to maintain the safety and security of College Buildings.
Responsible for selecting materials and techniques used to maintain and repair doors, door hardware, windows, floors, ceilings, partitions, office equipment/furniture, and classrooms.
Plans, lays out, assembles, and installs materials, equipment, and fixtures as required by scope of work.
Responds to departmental requests, which may include, but are not limited to, securing office equipment, installing shelves, rearranging furniture. Performs related duties as assigned.
Coordinating and setting up for special events on campus.
REQUIREMENTS
Safely use electric tools (saws, drills, sanders, etc.) as well as hand tools.
Rekey doors, duplicate keys, repair locks.
Able to effectively read and follow blueprints.
Build cabinets, shelves, walls, closets, desks, various items.
Oversee student workers; arrange schedules; delegate tasks.
