40+ hours per week About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Carpenter with at least 10 years of experience, specifically on larger commercial and industrial construction projects. In this position, you’ll be the hands-on go-to expert for all odds and ends construction-related tasks and will report directly to the site supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete a variety of hands-on carpentry and construction tasks as needed around the job site.
- Oversee and coordinate extra help as necessary, supervising between 1 and 15 skilled laborers at a time.
- Ensure jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards.
- Maintain clear communication with the site supervisor and other team members.
- Uphold all safety guidelines and company policies on site.
- Inventory Management
- Staging Materials
- Unloading equipment/materials
- Build temporary fencing, stair rails, decking platforms, etc.
Requirements 10+ years of journey-level carpentry experience on commercial and industrial projects. Proven track record managing and supervising teams of skilled labor (1-15 workers at a time). Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work 40+ hours weekly for the full project duration (1-1.5 years). Must live within driving distance of Dalton, GA.
