JOB SUMMARY
The Carpenter repairs furniture, doors, windows, slot machine stands, gaming tables and cabinet work.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Fabricates office partitions, doors, cornices, counters, panel walls and ceilings. Works from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions, to obtain dimensions and finish specifications. Maintains preventive maintenance program. Determines method and sequence of work operation, quality and size of raw stock and hardware necessary to complete assignment. May also make working sketches of partitions, walls, fixtures and frames in order to complete required assignment. Maintains inventory of parts and material. A security escort is required should these persons perform these job functions in a restricted casino area. Performs duties as assigned, always presenting oneself as a credit to Caesars and encouraging others to do the same.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be physically strong. Must have knowledge of building codes. Previous casino maintenance experience preferred.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned task. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, climb ladders and work on man-lift type equipment. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues. Must be able to read and understand Architectural plans and Specifications.
